Kick Off Party for American Heart Association Walk

Who: Everyone and anyone, especially you! Yes YOU!

What: Kick-off the Long Beach Heart Walk/Run sponsored by CNSA Community Service

When: Oct 3rd 2-3pm and 4-5pm

Where: USU Room 205 "Huntington Beach Room"

Why: Learn more about the American Heart Association walk that your CNSA Community Service Committee is promoting throughout the month of October! The walk is on November 10th and we would LOVE LOVE LOVE nursing students to join our CSULB Nursing Team, help fundraise through special events and activities we will be having through the month of October.

 At this event we will:
-Help you sign up for a team...it's free!
-Tell you more about our CNSA Nursing Halloween Party at the end of October "Heart Disease is Scary" that will benefit the American Heart Association fundraiser
-Share personal stories on how heart disease has touched our personal lives
-Tell you how you, as nursing student, can volunteer at our CNSA booth at the walk by taking blood pressures and measuring BMIs
-Get you super, way, totally, seriously and utterly STOKED for the walk on November 10th AND help spread awareness about heart disease: the #1 killer in America

Yes, it's super short notice, BUT I know Dr. McGuire's critical care class gets out at 1pm on Wednesday AND my 3rd semester basic students don't have class that day SO I'm calling you guys out!!! I will be speaking and telling my story about how I lost both of my grandpa's to heart disease at a young age and would LOVE you support <3

BATTLE OF THE CLASSES Fall 2012

Question: Have you ever wanted nursing school to be more like Hogwarts or the Hunger Games?
Have you ever wondered...which program is better? Basic, Trimester, ELM or ADN to BSN? I'm sure we all have our own opinions but let's put our class pride to the TEST!!!
For the first time EVER, CNSA will hold a BATTLE OF THE CLASSES during Fall semester to determine a winner. Earn points for your class by participating in certain CNSA events and win FREE FOOD DURING FINALS WEEK for the program who comes out on top!

 RULES:
  •  Events that earn your class points & the amount of points your class will receive if you participate will be predetermined by the CNSA board at the beginning of each month.
  • A score board will be kept in the Learning Center to keep track of your points
  • The teams are: Basic, Trimester, ELM & ADN to BSN
  • The battle ends Monday December 3
  • The prize (free food during finals week) will be offered, well, during finals week. & only to CNSA members.
  • No cheating, we're nurses with integrity, honor...you know the rest ;)
  • HAVE fun! And may the best class win!
